Over this weekend a few of our Littles will be travelling to Lakeside Stadium to compete at State Track and Field Champs, and we wish them all the best of luck!
Melbourne Track Classic
Athletics Australia’s Australian Summer of Athletics tour is returning to Melbourne. Come see Australia’s best athletes on show as they compete to earn work ranking points and meet the standards for Commonwealth Games and World Championships selection.

2022 LAVIC STATE TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR YARRA RANGES ATHLETES
| This weekend is the Little Athletics Victoria Track and Field Championships. It is an incredible achievement to qualify to compete and a fantastic opportunity to strive for a new personal best!! Location: Lakeside Stadium, Aughtie Drive, Albert Park.They have already stated set up for the Grand Prix so parking may be more challenging than usual. Traffic can also cause unexpected delays, plan ahead – but always call if something has gone wrong – we will help if there is anything at all we can do.If you will not be attending, please let us know as soon as you are aware, so we can advise the event officials.Look out for the YRA flag to find us. We will be located at the top of the west stadium near the 100m start line. There will be a canteen facilities on the day. Team Managers: Saturday AM – Dannie McKinnon 0407 867852 Saturday PM – Katie Clarke 0403 819391 Sunday – Katie Clarke 0403 819391 The current timetable is available by clicking here. Call room is 20 minutes before the event. Please make sure you have warmed up and informed the team manager that you are making your way to the call room in plenty of time.Uniform:Uniform is as per regions- navy blue shorts(no pockets or logo), white YRA top with Coles patch sewn on. We will have the bag of centre uniform to borrow at the Team Managers table. Please make sure you return any uniform that has been borrowed. IT IS COMPULSORY TO BE WEAR YOUR COMMONWEALTH BANK PATCH! DON’T FORGET! Allocated Duties:Each club gets allocated duties for these events and we have been allocated GENERAL OFFICIAL for Saturday only. If you are on duty please report to the team manager before relieving the parent before you. General official could be located in any position that is required on the day. Duty is allocated to the club based on the number of qualifying events and athletes. We know it will not be ideal for everyone but thank you for fulfilling our club duty! Please remember to wear closed toe shoes when on duty. |
