Australian Track & Field Championships

A group of six talented, hard working club athletes are busy preparing for the Australian track & field championships. The championship will be held in Sydney over 8 days starting on Monday 12th April.

On the track Kiara Flavel will compete in the U17 800 and 1500m events. Kiara has been in fantastic form recently and is a very good chance of winning a medal at the championships. Tiara Willis will compete in the U16 90m hurdles and 200m hurdles events. Our only open age athlete, Grace Muller, will compete in the U23 3000m Steeplechase event.

In the field we will be represented by a trio of talented women. Ashleigh Rooke will compete in the U17 Discus, Hayley Wilkins in the U20 Javelin and Sarah Ebbels in the U17 Hammer Throw. All three girls have thrown some big PB’s in recent weeks and will hope to improve on those performances.
