Weekly Newsletter – Nov 24

The third week of athletics was our biggest and best yet.  Once again athletes had an opportunity to experience a wide range of events with some excellent performances from all athletes throughout the morning. It was great to see so many new faces joining the club for the first time and enjoying the opportunity to experience some new activities with new friends. It was fantastic to see athletes, helpers and parents settling into the rhythm of Saturday morning athletics and the recording of some early season PB’s. Congratulations to Ky Harris on a centre record last week.

Thanks to all the helpers who complied with the new restrictions and procedures to ensure we all had a fun and safe morning of athletics.  A big thanks to the senior athletics club members who volunteered their time, expertise and enthusiasm to help the day run smoothly. A special shout out to Ken Taylor, who returned to the track after a 5 year absence to help with starting events. You still have the starters touch!

We hope to see everyone back next week with more friends to enjoy another moning of fun athletics. Competition starts at 9.00am with grouping starting from 8.45am.
We always need help with setup, if you can help please we start setting up about 7.30-8.00am Please check our social media pages for more information and any updates to competition procedures.
